This year we had the chance to visit the old, charming Altamura, to take photos of Paola&Paolo and their wedding in Puglia. The south of Italy has a special light and special people because the way they welcome you makes you feel immediately part of the family.
Paola and Paolo chose the church of Altamura for the religious ceremony and then a private masseria in the countryside, closed to the small town. It rained a bit but we were so lucky to have that special, golden light just before sunset so we took a walk into those wheat fields but we couldn’t really expect such an atmosphere! A marching band welcomed all the guests for the beginning of the reception in a field just in front of the masseria. A wedding in Puglia gives the chance to let the landscape and the setting do almost the half of the work, in fact you are there, grateful to this beautiful world, and that’s a great beginning!
Italian food at a wedding in Puglia deserves a separate chapter. You just have to try it because there is no way to describe how much and how tasty it is.
Back to the courtyard for the wedding dinner, chic wedding decorations and special light for those stunning old trees. Truly an elegant, Italian atmosphere.
We felt all your happiness, Paola & Paolo. Thank you and congratulations!
We paid a visit to an old woman she calls granny because she used to be her nun and this was such a moving moment.
Even if our style is mainly documentary photography, we also love dedicating about twenty minutes to make beautiful bridal portraits because this is an unique occasion and it would have been a shame not to use this unexpected, amazing light to give our bride and groom some special photos.
Take a look also at this country wedding in a Villa in Rome and at this rustic outdoor wedding in Tuscany countryside!
